Music Created for Feature Film "Paul's Promise"

"Paul’s Promise” is the true story of Paul Holderfield, racist-turned-paster who stood up to injustice and started one of the first integrated churches in the South, with amazing performances by Ryan O’Quinn, Linda Purl, Nancy Stafford, Shari Rigby, Josef Cannon, and Dean Cain (Superman )

The film was directed by Matthew Reithmayr, and produced by Heather O’Quinn, Tyler Cole, Ryan O’Quinn, and Michael Davis, and has earned 29 nominations and 17 wins in several film festivals including the Paris Film Awards and the International Christian Film Festival, for Best Feature Film, Best Picture, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Supporting Actress. The beautiful score was created by Chad Reisser.

Paris was thrilled to create two traditional country songs for the film, working with friends and colleagues in Nashville. ”Hold ‘Em Close” was co-written and performed by the incredibly talented Georgia Middleman and “Gotta Lotta Drinkin’ To Do” was co-written with Musicians Hall of Fame inductee, Bruce Bouton, and performed by Philip Russell. Both songs feature world-class musician Jimmy Mattingly (fiddle, mandolin), and Bruce on pedal steel guitar, with  Jimmy and Mark Dorflinger contributing to mixing and mastering. “Paul’s Promise” had it's theatrical release on October 21, 2022.
