Nitanee WINS 2 Peace Songs Awards!!

Nitanee is thrilled and honored to receive two Peace Song Awards on September 21st, the International Day of Peace!! "Keep The Light On" won the judges vote and "Sanctuary" won the public vote in the Rock/Pop Category!! ❤ "Keep The Light On" is about being there for others in times of darkness. It was written with 7th and Hope duo Betty Lawrence, Patricia Bahia, and Dr Jean-Pierre Williams, and was produced by Duddy Brown. "Sanctuary" was written with Rachelle Renesse at Nitanee's studio in Malibu and produced by Mark Dorflinger. It was inspired by the brave heroes who fight human trafficking around the world - and in our own country.

Hollywood and Mars performed the winning songs at the award ceremony and after party at AWA OASIA in the downtown LA arts district. We are grateful to Steve Robertson, founder of the Peace Song Awards and Project-Peace on Earth and to the all-star judges panel including Stewart Copeland (GRAMMY Winner, The Police), Peter Yarrow (legendary folk singer & peace activist of Peter, Paul & Mary), Siedah Garrett (writer of “Man in the Mirror” perf by Michael Jackson), Maria Conchita Alonso (multi-platinum Latin singer), Peter Joseph (musician and director of the Zeitgeist movie series), Joanne Shenandoah (GRAMMY-winning Native American singer/songwriter), Ralph Simon (co-founder of Zomba Group and Jive Records, and Tim Kring (TV producer, Touch & Heroes).
